COMMUNITY LIAISON

The Arena Authority serves as the liaison to the community in the oversight and operation of SAP Center at San Jose, Sharks Ice at San Jose, and Excite Ballpark Home of the San Jose Giants. These efforts are typically undertaken in cooperation with the City of San Jose's Department of Transportation, the San Jose Police Department, the City's Office of Cultural Affairs, Sharks Sports & Entertainment (SAP Center at San Jose and Sharks Ice at San Jose), and the San Jose Giants (Excite Ballpark). Working closely with these organizations, the Arena Authority strives to ensure that all events at these facilities have minimal impact on the surrounding residential and commercial neighborhoods. The Arena Authority also works to keep the community informed on area special events, street closures, construction projects as well as participating in community and project-based meetings.
