Excite ballpark home of the san jose giants

Since 2008, the Arena Authority has provided administrative and contractual oversight for the management and operation of Excite Ballpark Home of the San Jose Giants.  The iconic stadium was constructed in 1942 during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt as a Federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) project. The stadium cost $90,000 to construct and had an original seating capacity of 2,900. Today, the stadium offers seating for 4,200 patrons and is home of the San Jose Giants. Playing in the historic California League, the Giants have won six league championships, including back-to-back titles in 2009-10.  The stadium also features San Jose State University Spartans baseball games as well as regional high school baseball tournaments.

The Arena Authority, the San Jose Giants, and the City of San Jose work jointly in the development of both annual and long-term stadium capital planning and implementation.  The Arena Authority also supports the Giants with their community outreach programs.

The San Jose Giants offer complimentary tickets to Giants regular season home games for San Jose area schools.  For more information about Excite Ballpark Home of the San Jose Giants and the San Jose Giants, please visit the San Jose Giants.
